Charles P. Charles Graham served in the US Navy from 1968 to 1974.  After boot camp at Great Lakes, Illinois, and submarine school in Groton, Connecticut, he served in the nuclear submarine force, where he earned his dolphins (qualified submariner) on the USS Plunger, SSN 595 under the command of Cdr. Nils Thunman.  Charles was transferred and finished his enlistment at Commander Submarine Pacific (ComSubPac) Communications Center at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.  Leaving active duty with the enlisted rank of E-5, he served again in the active duty US Naval Reserves as a radioman, second class from 1978 to 1980.

He presently serves as a lieutenant colonel and pilot in the all-volunteer, US Air force Auxiliary, the Civil Air Patrol.  He lives with his wife in St. John, Michigan.
